PhD Student: Recreation and Leisure Studies, Aging Health and Well-being
University of Waterloo
Eden began her PhD in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 2020. She completed all of her coursework in: qualitative inquiry, research methods, critical disability studies, aging and health.
Recent Graduate: Alternate Route Dance Movement Therapy
Les Grands Ballets Canadiens: National Center for Dance Therapy
The NCDT alternate route training is the only all-inclusive, ADTA approved DMT graduate level training available in Canada. Within this training, Eden took coursework in DMT methods, theory, group process, movement analysis, and how to work with special populations such as children on the autism spectrum, and psychiatric clients.
Masters of Psychology: Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science
York University
Eden's masters from York University focused on social psychology, relationship science, and cognitive psychology. Her research practicum and capstone MA thesis focused on relational outcomes for couples coping with neurodegenerative conditions (e.g. Parkinson's) as well as how dance can benefit informal caregivers.

Honours Bachelor of Arts: Psychology. Focus on Gerontology and Development
University of Guelph
Eden's bachelor of arts degree focused on psychology, and lifespan development. She took extensive coursework in social and cognitive psychology, childhood and adult development. Her BA thesis investigated religious coping and mental health for undergraduate students.
