What is dance therapy?

"Dance movement therapy (DMT) is based on the premise that thoughts, feelings and the experience of self are expressed through the body and movement. It is a relational process that integrates emotional, cognitive, physical and social aspects of self." - DMTAC (Dance Movement Therapy Association of Canada)

Who can benefit?

DMT can benefit anyone! By using movement therapeutically, DMT offers an embodied approach to reconnecting with one's body, and connecting with others. DMT can facilitate increased mobility, fluidity of movement, and emotional processing. Eden is qualified to facilitate DMT sessions for children with autism, adults, aging populations, couples, and people living with neurodegenerative conditions (e.g. Parkinson's, dementia).
